Trying to cultivate Punjab with the help of Amarinder
BJP is trying to reach Punjab with the help of Captain. The BJP is playing every bet, especially to increase its proximity with the Sikh community. Prime Minister Modi is meeting Sikh personalities. At the same time, the Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji has also been celebrated in the Red Fort.

Captain is a political stalwart of Punjab. He is a well-known leader everywhere from cities to villages. Therefore, before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with the help of Captain, BJP is eyeing 13 seats in Punjab. The Sikhs are angry with the BJP due to the farmers’ agitation against the agricultural reform laws.

Amarinder failed in assembly elections
Captain Amarinder Singh was the CM of Punjab for two terms. He had a tenure of 9 and a half years. Last year, 3 months before the elections, Congress removed him from the CM’s chair. The Captain formed a new party by the name of Punjab Lok Congress. Then fought the election in alliance with the BJP, but along with his candidate, the Captain himself lost. BJP also got only 2 seats. However, this defeat is being linked to the desire of the people of Punjab to change from the traditional parties.

Central leadership will decide: Sharma
Punjab BJP President Ashwani Sharma, on the question of making Captain the Vice Presidential candidate, said that this decision has to be taken by the central leadership. However, he did not deny it either.
