Cannes Film Festival 2022: Shaunak Sen’s ‘All That Breathes’ Documentary Wins Golden Eye Award

Cannes Film Festival 2022: Filmmaker Shaunak Sen’s ‘All That Breathes’ on Saturday won the 2022 L’OEil d’or (The Golden Eye) Award for Best Documentary at Cannes Film Festival. ‘All That Breaths’ is about the lives of two brothers from Delhi, Mohammad Saud and Nadeem Shahzad, who rescue and treat injured birds, especially the black eagle.

Also, it has been shown how environmental pollution affects the eagles and how they are keeping their distance from Delhi. Recently ‘All That Breaths’ premiered in a special screening.

Cannes Film Festival 2022: Shaunak Sen is the second Indian to win the award at Cannes

The 90-minute long film was adjudged the winner by the jury. The Jury included Polish filmmaker Agnieszka Holland, Ukrainian writer-director Iryna Tsilyk, French actor Pierre Deladonchamps, Journalist Alex Vicente and Moroccan writer-filmmaker Hicham Falah.
