Bus caught fire at petrol pump in Indore: Driver fled in burning condition; The conductor took the bus 200 meters away

A sudden fire broke out in the tank of the bus while getting diesel filled at a petrol pump in Indore. Due to which the bus driver standing there was badly burnt. As soon as the fire broke out, he ran away from the petrol pump. The conductor, showing understanding, immediately called the passengers to get off the bus. He took the bus in burning condition to a distance of about 200 meters from the petrol pump. During this, the conductor also got scorched. The bus was completely gutted.

This bus came from Harda to Indore on Sunday afternoon. Driver Kapil and conductor Ramakrishna have been admitted to the hospital. Driver Kapil has suffered 40 per cent burns.

According to the Bhanwarkua police, the incident took place between Chitavad Road to Navlakha. Here, at around 2.30 pm, diesel was being poured into the Yadav Travels bus at the Indian Petrol Pump. At this time the accident happened.

Seeing the fire in the tank of the bus, the conductor took the bus to the road two hundred meters away from the petrol pump and parked it. Drop off the passengers. After this the entire bus was burnt.

A major accident was averted due to the presence of mind of the bus conductor Ramakrishna. After the fire broke out, he asked the passengers boarding the bus to get down. Then started the bus and took it away from the petrol pump. As soon as it reached here, flames started rising from the bus. After which he also got down from the bus. In no time, the bus was completely burnt to ashes. Conductor Ramakrishna’s face and hands were burnt in the accident.

Fire brigade got control
After the fire broke out, the petrol pump workers ran with sand and water and tried to douse the fire. Fire brigade was informed. Within no time, the fire brigade reached the spot and doused the fire.
