Accused Amit has been jailed twice in the same fraud in the past, in 2011 and 2018.

Uttar Pradesh Police on Thursday arrested a miscreant and his female friend who cheated people by posing as a fake officer from Ghaziabad. This person named Amit Yadav alias Jogendra Singh used to show himself as an ADM, sometimes an IPS officer and sometimes an inspector and used to cheat people in the name of getting a job. The woman used to help him.

In Ghaziabad, he has cheated two people of 9 and a half lakh rupees in the name of getting them admitted in Delhi Police and Home Guard. He has been jailed twice in the past for similar frauds, in 2011 and 2018.

Kavinagar police has also caught a woman along with Amit alias Jogendra.

Amit is a resident of Firozabad
Police said that Amit Yadav alias Jogendra Singh is originally a resident of village Dhausai under Sirsaganj police station area in Firozabad district. The woman caught with him is Rajkumar’s wife Karan Singh, a resident of Akash Nagar located in Mussoorie area in Ghaziabad.

Many forged documents and inspector’s uniform have been recovered from Amit. He has also got a fake Aadhar card made at the address of Crossing Republic area in Ghaziabad. Many such pictures have been found from Amit’s mobile phone, in which he is wearing the uniform of a police officer.

Two youths were given the promise of a job
Amit had cheated Rs 7 lakh from Neeraj of Hapur in the name of getting him admitted to Delhi Police and Rs 2.5 lakh from Phool Singh of Kavinagar in the name of getting a home guard. In both these cases, the Ghaziabad police was looking for him.

When did Amit commit fraud?

  1. In 2006, Amit married himself as a police constable. When it came to know that he was not a constable, the marriage broke up in 2010 and the Mainpuri police sent Amit to jail.
  2. In 2013, Amit remarried to a female constable and declared himself to be a sub-inspector from the dependent quota after the death of his father. When the woman investigated, it was found that her father had not died.
  3. In 2015, Amit told the lady constable that she had been selected for the post of ADM and was posted in Moradabad.
  4. In 2016, Amit informed about getting selected in IPS and going to Hyderabad for training in 2017.
  5. On 26 October 2018, Amit also pretended to attend the IPS’s passing out parade.
  6. On October 29, 2018, posing as IPS, Amit organized a reception in Etawah district. Many inspectors also participated in this.
  7. On 1 November 2018, Etawah police stopped Amit in vehicle checking. He called himself an IPS. The police got suspicious. After thorough interrogation, the whole matter got exposed. From there he had to go to jail.

12th pass Amit is smart in photo editing
Amit Yadav is 12th pass. He has a good knowledge of all the photo editing software. Through many apps, he changes the face of the photo. By doing something similar, Amit showed everyone the photo of himself becoming an IPS. In a photograph, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is having a photo session with a selected IPS officer. In the past, a similar case had come to light in Patna as well. There a person named Abhishek Agarwal called the DGP to save his friend and IPS officer Aditya Kumar. He introduced himself as Chief Justice of Patna High Court Sanjay Karol. Abhishek Agarwal would WhatsApp call to DGP SK Singhal. Bihar cadre IPS Aditya Kumar made his friend a fake Chief Justice of the High Court to end the case related to prohibition against him.
