Border security is being put at stake in Barmer. In the most sensitive border areas of the country, the land on which the Supreme Court has stayed, they are also being sold indiscriminately.

16 years ago, lakhs of bighas of land was bought by a private company in a benami manner. These lands were taken over by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The Supreme Court had banned the purchase and sale of such lands. Despite this, deals are being done openly here.

The more dangerous thing is that the touts made arrangements for us to buy land ranging from 50 thousand to one lakh rupees per bigha without any permission.

To bring out every hidden truth related to the case Daily newspaper The team reached the Barmer border area, 600 km from Jaipur. Here BSF personnel are engaged in the security of the country.

Here the land mafia brokers are dealing with the land near the Indo-Pakistan border. These brokers are making arrangements from registry to mutation in a single day by taking hefty commission.

They claim- ‘Take as much land as you want, we will complete all the formalities in a single day and get your name filled up to mutation. You only come to the Tehsil office at the time of registry to put your photo and thumb.

By becoming a common buyer here, we contacted the people and got the mobile numbers of some touts.

Bhaskar was found from 2 such brokers. Investigated the whole matter for 2 days.

First broker: 23 bighas of land, I will get it registered today

Bhaskar Team: We have to buy land.

Broker Hamirani: What do you want to do with the land, whether it is needed for investment or for farming?

Bhaskar Team: Invest in farming.

(After being satisfied, the broker agreed to meet us. He called us to the International Restricted Border Area.)

(After this, immediately we took a car from Barmer city to Gadra village, located 3 km before the Indo-Pak border. Here Dalal Yunus Khan was waiting for us at Hamirani crossroads. Hamirani took us to a cup of tea nearby.)

Ours: A little far from here, 23 bighas of land is for sale in the village of Khalife’s stepwell. If you want to take it, then in today’s day I will get the deal finalized and registered.

Bhaskar Team: Show me the land first.

(We put Hamirani in our car and left. After walking 2 km, the road ended.)

Ours: Have to walk from here, follow me.

(We walked for about 2 kms. After that we stopped at one place)

Ours: The smallest land is as per your demand. Seller is ready, just your delay to say yes.

This land was shown to Bhaskar by the broker Yunus Khan Hamirani. Hamirani claimed - arrange the money, I will get the registry done by hand.

Bhaskar Team: Is this 23 bighas of land?

Ours: Will sit more than 23, not less, 50 thousand rupees is the price of bigha. I don’t have cheap land.

Bhaskar Team: We are finding the land and the price fine, you get ready to finalize the deal.

(After this Hamirani took us back to Gadra. There the car stopped at an intersection and got down and went to an E-Mitra kiosk. Returned after 20 minutes)

Ours: Here are the Jamabandi, copy and map of the land. You can give advance if you want. Aadhar card, voter card, ration card or license and 8 photos make these arrangements. Not a big amount, arrange money by tomorrow morning. I will get the registry done by hand.
(Bhaskar recorded this entire conversation in the hidden camera)

While leaving Gadra, Hamirani was watching us. After going a short distance we called another broker, Gopal Singh Bhati. He called Gadra, but we refused and decided to meet 1 km away. Gopal Singh reached the specified place with a luxury SUV. We started the conversation by sitting him in our car…
