Bolly Buzz: Nora Fatehi tests positive for COVID-19, Salman Khan reportedly working with Tigmanshu Dhulia for ‘Dabangg 4’ – Times of India

From Bollywood celebs testing COVID-19 positive to Bollywood going the OTT way, Kangana Ranaut directing her next project ‘Emergency’ and Salman Khan to star in ‘Dabangg 4’, here are the biggest headlines of the day by the latest edition of ETimes’ Bolly Buzz.

After Arjun Kapoor and his family members tested positive for Covid-19, Nora Fatehi announced on Thursday that she too has tested positive. The actress and dancer assured all that she hasn’t stepped out since being tested and added that the pictures doing the rounds on social media were from a past event. Another star also going through a quiet quarantine is Shilpa Shirodkar who revealed that she tested positive and shared, “Stay safe everyone, please get vaccinated and follow all the rules…”.

Meanwhile, the Multiplex Association of India has approached the Deputy CM of Delhi seeking the reopening of Cinemas. In a letter to the govt, the association claimed that cinemas are better equipped than bars and malls to handle crowds and maintain a sanitised environment. That’s not all, the letter hinted that Shahid Kapoor‘s Jersey may just be headed the OTT way after postponing the film. It also claimed that other Bollywood films set for Jan 2022 releases may also follow the same.

Makers of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Prithviraj’ have now received threats from the Gujjars in Rajasthan. The group has reportedly taken offence and threatened to stop the screening of the Bollywood film if the movie continues using the term ‘Rajput’ instead of Gurjar. Meanwhile, the leaders from the Rajput community have strongly rejected this claim.

Salman Khan is reportedly all set to bring back Chulbul Pandey with ‘Dabangg 4’. According to reports, Tigmanshu Dhulia has been working on a script for the fourth film of the cop franchise. It’s believed that Salman has already heard the basic idea and is not only impressed with it, but is keen to bring in a fresh approach to the character. However, the final call will be taken only after a script narration.

Kangana Ranaut is ending 2021 on a high note by taking to the director’s chair for her second feature film ‘Emergency’. The actress made the big reveal while sharing her excitement about finding a Newall camera from the 1950s that belonged to director Shri Bimal Roy. “As I am all set to direct my second feature film Emergency this is nothing short of a blessing…” she said.
