More than 8000 party workers starting from panchayat level representative to national executive committee members are expected to participate in this convention

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) is set to hold a two-day national convention meeting on February 17 and 18 at New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan. This will be the ruling party’s mega poll preparation exercise ahead of the crucial 2024 Lok Sabha Elections, which are likely to take place this year.

BJP National Chief JP Nadda will preside over the meetings where discussions on the party’s strategy, agendas and poll review will be held. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also attend the convention.

The inaugural session of this two-day convention will begin on February 17 at 3 pm and the session will conclude on the second day with PM Modi’s address.

BJP Convention: What’s on Agenda?

Discussion on the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, resolutions, and review report from the last meeting, will be the main agendas of the two-day meeting in Delhi.

Organisational and current issues, discussion on resolutions and reports on future programmes and activities will also be discussed in this convention, which is likely to be attended by all the key BJP leaders.

Sources say that a few resolutions based on the achievements of the 10 years of the Modi government will also be passed during the meeting. The saffron party will also congratulate the prime minister for fulfilling key promises on issues like Ram Mandir, Article 370 etc.

PM Modi To Attend The BJP Convention

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also attend the two-day convention, and will also give the ‘Victory Mantra’ to party leaders on the last day of the convention.

As per sources, more than 8000 party workers from panchayat level representatives to national executive committee members, national council members, MPs, MLAs Ex MPs, national office bearers, and all morcha national office bearers, are expected to participate in this convention.

Who All Will Attend The BJP Convention

All National executive committee members, national council members, MPs, MLAs Ex MPs, national office bearers, and all morcha national office bearers. State office bearers, core committee, disciplinary committee, finance Committee, election committee members, and Ex-state presidents, will attend the two-day convention under the leadership of Nadda.

This apart, Lok Sabha cluster In charge, Lok Sabha convenor, Lok Sabha vistarak, National spokespersons, state spokespersons, state media convenors, Social media ( IT convenors) Chairman /Deputy Chairman of Nagar Nigam, Nagar Palika and Nagar panchayat. Chairman /Deputy Chairman Zila Panchayat chairman .Deputy Chairman of different state-level boards and Corporation and National teams of various ongoing programs will also be in attendance.

The party also held a similar 2 days convention before the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

No official date has been declared for the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls that will see the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) contest for the Lok Sabha seats for the third straight term. This time, the NDA will face the INDIA bloc as opposition, which aims to overthrow Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government.
