The BJP has won a record 156 out of 182 seats in the Gujarat Assembly. Earlier, Congress had won 149 assembly seats in the year 1985. In this election, the Congress got only 17 seats, while the Aam Aadmi Party could win only 5 seats. On December 12, Bhupendra Patel will take oath as CM again.

However, on the basis of vote share, AAP has acquired the status of a National Party. For a regional party to get the status of a national party, it is necessary to get 6% of the votes in four states in the Lok Sabha or assembly elections. AAP got around 13% vote share in Gujarat. AAP has already secured more than 6% vote share in 3 states Delhi, Punjab and Goa.

Like every election in Himachal Pradesh, there has been a change of power this time too. The Congress has won 40 of the 68 assembly seats in the state. Whereas BJP has won 25 seats. The Aam Aadmi Party could not even open its account. Apart from this, Dimple Yadav won the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat of UP, which fell vacant after the death of Mulayam Singh Yadav, by a margin of 2.88 lakh votes.
