Bird collided with Air Asia flight: Emergency landing had to be done at Lucknow airport, there were 180 passengers in the plane

An Air Asia flight going from Lucknow to Kolkata had to make an emergency landing on Sunday. As soon as the plane carrying 180 passengers took off, it suddenly collided with a bird. After this the pilot applied the emergency brake and stopped the flight on the runway itself. After this, the passengers were assured to be sent to Kolkata by another flight, but no flight arrangements were made for the passengers till evening.

A video from inside the aircraft has also surfaced. In this, the passengers are seen getting up from their respective seats. This video was made by a passenger sitting in the plane.

Officials said that the boarding of passengers took place at 10:55 am. After this the aircraft reached the runway. The accident happened only after this. As soon as this was known, there was chaos in the plane.

After this, the airport authority was immediately contacted. As soon as the information was received, the security forces also reached the spot and the passengers were safely deboarded from the plane.

The plane could not take off till evening. Meanwhile, Kolkata-bound passengers created a ruckus alleging negligence on the part of the airlines staff.

Passenger Vijay Kumar told that he had left home this morning itself. Booked a ticket for Kolkata from Air Asia. A bird hit the plane before take off on the runway. However, due to the presence of mind of the pilot, a major accident was averted. All passengers are safe. But no alternate flight was arranged. This is the reason why I have canceled the ticket.

No Alternate flight arranged

Rahul Bhatkoti, Chief Airport Officer of Chaudhary Charan Singh International Adani Airport, said that there was a bird hit at the time of take-off in Air Asia’s Kolkata-bound flight. But all the passengers and crew staff are safe. No Air Asia flight has gone to Kolkata till evening.
