Bihar: Poisonous Liquor has Claimed Lives of Five People, Four others have been Hospitalised

Let us remind you that on January 4, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stated that 13,013 cases were registered in Bihar between November 26 and January 2. 2.31 lakh liters of domestic liquor and 3.55 lakh liters of foreign liquor have been seized. These figures show that liquor, which has been banned in Bihar, is still widely available.

Nitish Kumar, the state’s Chief Minister, promised to ban liquor in the 2015 assembly elections. As a result of his promise, the voting percentage of women had risen to nearly 60%. More than 70% of women had voted in many areas.
