The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) is an administrative body that was created to recruit applicants for civil services in the state of Bihar. BPSC conducts its recruitment exam every year to fill the vacancies in the state administration. BPSC declared its 67th final result on October 28. Well this year, we have a lot of inspiring stories which are the perfect examples to work hard and never lose hope attitude even if time takes a test. One of them is Richa Kumari who is a resident of Pirpainti taluk in Bhagalpur district.

Richa is the eldest daughter of Yogesh Pandey who is a small-scale farmer. In a telephonic conversation with News18, Richa shared that her father has taken a loan for farming and also faced difficulty in educating them due to financial issues in the family.

“My entire family supported me throughout the journey. I have been able to achieve this success only because of the support I got from my siblings,” she added.

Richa has secured 806th rank in the 67th examination of BPSC and now has been appointed as Labour Enforcement Officer. She added that she would be glad if she was assigned to the Purnia district and believes that she might bring the needed change in the region.

She mentioned that at the same time, her priority is to get free education for economically weak children. “I want this because when I was in the village and wherever I went, I saw small children working instead of studying as it is a luxury for them and can’t afford it. Now I have a chance to change it and get them a better future,” she shared.

Talking about her preparation, Richa shared that she cleared the exam on her third attempt. She added that she never took coaching and studied 6 to 7 hours every day.

Richa Kumari completed her primary schooling from Girls Primary School. She did her graduation from Mahadev Singh College. Richa was pursuing her B.Ed in Women’s Training College in Patna.
