Big tussle over Sidhu in Punjab Congress: Deputy CM Randhawa offers to leave Home Ministry; Minister Ashu has given advice to learn ‘Congress culture’

In Punjab, there has been a ruckus in the Congress over the speech of Chief Navjot Sidhu. Sidhu was questioning his government for not arresting Akali leader Bikram Majithia. Now fed up with his statement, Deputy CM Sukhjinder Randhawa has offered to leave the Home Ministry. He said that Sidhu is over ambivalent. Ever since I got the Home Ministry, Sidhu is running angry. So he is ready to leave it.

Earlier, Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu had similarly advised Sidhu to learn Congress culture. He had said that the Congress model will run in Punjab, not the Sidhu model. He even said that ‘I’ is not the word but the organization is big. At the same time, earlier in the government, Minister Rana Gurjit has also raised questions on Sidhu’s attitude.

Sidhu is constantly saying in rallies that I have filed a case against Majithia.

Sidhu’s statement is sending a message of revenge

Deputy CM Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said that the drugs case against Akali leader Bikram Majithia was done as per law. The statement that Sidhu is giving about this that I got it done is sending a message of revenge. I request Sidhu to let the people of Punjab get justice. On Sidhu’s attack on the government for not arresting Majithia, Randhawa said that he will do whatever the law says.

Now CM is the ‘groom’, MLA will decide next

Randhawa said on Sidhu’s statement of telling the CM face of Congress in Punjab that at present our CM Charanjit Channi is the ‘groom’. Who will be next time? The MLA will decide about this. There is no tradition in Congress to announce names like this. The rest can be told about this by Congress’s Punjab in-charge Harish Chaudhary. Describing Sidhu as the strength of the organization, Randhawa said that the party is big. In the Congress party, the Pradhan has a bigger status than the CM. Sidhu’s ambition is very high. They should learn the culture of Congress.

Congress does not declare candidate from stage

Deputy CM Randhawa said that candidates are not declared from the stage in Congress. Here the screening committee first sends the panel and then the high command issues the list. Akali Dal and Aam Aadmi Party definitely do this but they also release the list later. Sidhu should learn the methods of working of Congress. Sidhu is constantly appealing to the Congressmen to win in Punjab by calling them candidates.

Minister Ashu said – Sidhu is ruining the government’s work

In the Punjab government, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu took a dig at Sidhu. He said that CM and ministers are working for 18-18 hours. In 3 months those works were done which could not be done in the last 4 and a half years. Despite this, Sidhu is making opposite statements on him. Due to which all the efforts of the government are being wasted. He even said that if all is not well in the Congress, Sidhu should leave the party. He also demanded from the Congress high command to discipline Sidhu.

Sidhu wants himself to be CM face

In Punjab, Sidhu wants to run the Congress in the style of Captain Amarinder Singh. Where the Captain remained the CM while in power and was the head of the Congress when he was out of power. Sidhu wants Congress to declare him as CM face in Vis elections. Sidhu is saying again and again that people will ask who is the bridegroom of his procession. Because of this insistence, Sidhu is busy tearing down the schemes and functioning of his own government. Due to which there has been a situation of confusion within the Congress. On the contrary, the Congress High Command has decided to contest the election this time under Collective Leadership. In which along with Sidhu, CM Channi and former Punjab Congress chief Sunil Jakhar are also included.
