In such a situation, the National Medical Commission has given a big relief to the students returning to India after leaving their medical studies in Ukraine. The commission has said that medical students who have completed their degree will get an opportunity to do internship in India. 7.5% seats of internship have also been fixed for students coming from abroad.

The National Medical Commission said that students returning from Ukraine are being given a chance to complete their missed internship. Till now internship fee was not to be paid only in Delhi. But now fees will not have to be paid in any state. Applying students must first pass the Foreign Medical Graduate (FMGE) Screening Test to complete the internship.

What is FMEG?

Any Indian student who has obtained primary medical qualification from a medical college abroad and wants to get provisional from the Medical Council of India, must clear the Foreign Medical Graduate (FMGE) Screening Test. These exams are multiple choice based. There is no negative marking for wrong answer.

According to the National Medical Commission Rules 2021 for Medical Students, medical students have to do two internships for registration in India. First from the place from where he got MBBS degree and then coming to India.
