Today voting will take place on 16 Rajya Sabha seats in four states amid allegations of ‘horse-trading’. Out of 57 Rajya Sabha seats, 41 seats have already been elected unopposed. Due to the ongoing political happenings, Congress and BJP have kept their MLAs in hotels and resorts. Among the candidates whose electoral fate will be decided during these elections are Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman and Piyush Goyal, Congress’s Randeep Surjewala, Jairam Ramesh and Mukul Wasnik and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut. All these leaders are expected to win without any hassle.
