DRDO scientist arrested in Delhi’s Rohini court blast

Delhi Police has arrested Bharat Bhushan Kataria, Senior Scientist of DRDO in Rohini Court Blast case. The blast took place on 9 December. According to Delhi Police, explosives making material has also been found from the scientist. Scientist blasted for targeting the lawyer living in his neighbourhood. He had an old dispute with the lawyer. Ammonium nitrate was used to prepare explosives.

Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana said that the Special Cell team probing the blast checked 1,000 vehicles that came to Rohini Court that day. More than 100 CCTV cameras were also checked during this period. The investigation team had also examined the hearing held on that day and the people present in the court.

The driver of the container fled after the accident. The identities of the four killed are yet to be ascertained. Now the police is trying to reach its owner on the basis of the documents found from the container.
