Avantika Dassani shared that her mother Bhagyashree didn’t want her kids to pursue acting.

Ahead of her bollywood debut, Avantika Dassani shared that her mother didn’t want her kids to pursue acting.

Avantika Dassani, daughter of the acclaimed actress Bhagyashree, is set to enter Bollywood with her film ‘U Shape Ki Gully’ after making a mark in the digital realm with the web series ‘Mithya’. However, in her recent interview, Avantika revealed why her mother has advised her and her brother Abhimanyu Dassani against pursuing a career in acting.

Speaking with Hindustan Times, Avantika shared, “For me and my brother both, she always said that no matter how good you are or how much success you gain, there is a lot of heartbreak, it is not a stable environment, and there are a lot of ups and downs.”

Further, Avantika revealed Bhagyashree’s ultimate advice to her kids, “Whatever happens, good or bad, you should be satisfied and proud of yourself,” she stated.

Avantika Dassani also addressed the pros and cons of being a star kid. She said, “There’s the idea that it becomes much easier just because you have someone in the industry. But, at the end of the day, my mom left this industry many years ago and she has made her journey back, so it’s not the same.”

She added, “There are still some advantages because my mother and brother have gained a lot of respect in the industry so I get the same respect. But, mujhe ek chai mil sakti hai kisi ke saath baithne ke lie, but I won’t get an offer for a film because I am somebody’s sister or daughter.”

Speaking about her debut film, U Shape Ki Gully, it is an Avinash Das directorial that is known for his hard-hitting Swara Bhasker starrer Anaarkali of Aarah. Not only that, Avinash was also one of the directors of the critically-acclaimed Netflix series She.

As for Avantika’s brother Abhimanyu Dassani, the actor has already showcased his mettle through films like Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, Meenakshi Sundareshwar and Nikamma.
