The man reportedly approached the child last Thursday at the Lionel Watts Reserve in Belrose on North Beaches.

Several brave children confronted the man and took pictures and videos before he fled.

But when the youth tried to lure the young man, more than seven brave children confronted him and took photos and videos of him shouting at him.

‘It’s a boy,’ a child can be heard shouting.

The children chased the man away before he was seen running on a nearby road.

‘Thankfully the kids were smart enough to know it wasn’t okay. It’s super scary,’ Michelle said.

Police believe the same man was offering money when they were chased by teenage girls at Bellrose’s Glenrose Village shopping center two days before the child went to the park.

He said it was too early for him to determine whether the man had bad intentions, but believed he could do it again.
