Nagpur: Adding another day of improvement in Covid conditions, Vidarbha region reported 54 new cases in the last 24 hours.
In all, 142 patients recovered. No death was reported on Friday, which happened for the second time in the four days of March.
Barring Nagpur (28), no other district in the region reported double digit increase in new cases. Wardha and Washim reported zero new cases on Thursday.
Overall, 6,448 tests were conducted in Vidarbha on Thursday. With 54 of them positive, the test positivity rate (TPR) once again remained under 1% which is a positive indicator. The number of under treatment patients in the region is now 377. Nagpur alone accounts for 195 which means the rest of Vidarbha is largely free from Covid.
Gondia has only four patients under treatment and all of them are in home isolation. Six out of 11 Vidarbha districts have less than 20 patients under treatment and the number of those hospitalized is marginal.
In Nagpur, 2,040 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. Out of Thursday’s 28 new cases, 20 came from Nagpur city (NMC), six from rural and two from other state/division. Out of 44 recovered patients, 24 were from city and 11 from rural. Nine patients from other states recovered on Thursday. Nagpur district has 195 patients under treatment with more than 170 in home isolation.
Akola: With 3 new cases and 4 recoveries on Thursday, Akola has 20 patients under treatment now. Total 152 tests were conducted.
Washim: No new case was reported while 7 of the under treatment patients recovered on Thursday. Now, Washim has only 10 patients under treatment.
Buldhana: 413 tests were conducted in last 24 hours in Buldhana. Out of them, 8 tested positive. On the other hand, 18 patients recovered. Now, 39 patients are under treatment in Buldhana.
Gondia: Only 86 tests were conducted in the district. One of them tested positive. Two patients recovered in a day. Gondia now has 4 patients under treatment, and all are in home isolation.
Bhandara: Three new cases were reported in Bhandara district on Thursday. Nine patients recovered. Total 614 tests were conducted in last 24 hours. Bhandara has 16 patients under treatment now.
Gadchiroli: Total 672 tests were conducted in Gadchiroli and six of them tested positive on Thursday. Total 37 patients recovered. Now, the district has only 42 patients under treatment.
Amravati: Just one new case emerged from the 444 samples tested on Friday, taking the caseload to 20,5920.
Yavatmal: The district has reported 2 new positive patients during the last 24 hours, keeping the death toll unchanged at 1,803.
Wardha: District has not reported any new Covid positive from 360 reports. There wee no deaths.
Chandrapur: The number of active patients under treatment dropped down to 15, with just two detections out of 918 tests as against seven recoveries on Friday.
