An avalanche took place on Wednesday in Gulmarg, a famous tourist place in Jammu and Kashmir. The ski resort got hit by it. Two Polish tourists died in an avalanche. While 21 people have been rescued, 19 were Polish citizens and 2 were local guides.

SSP Baramulla said that as soon as the information about the avalanche was received, the local administration has started the rescue operation. It cannot be said right now how many people are buried under the snow.

Baramulla police officials said that the people hit by the avalanche were on the slope when the accident occurred. The bodies of the two Polish nationals who died in the avalanche have been recovered. They have been identified as Krijseltoff, 43, and Adam Grech, 45. Their bodies have been taken to the hospital for the medico-legal process.
