Attack on the procession of grassroots women activists, heated Kamarhati in the sectarian conflict

After Karimpur in Nadia, this time the Trinamool factionalism has come to the fore in Kamarhati of North 24 Parganas. It has been alleged that a group of Trinamool activists attacked the procession on Monday night. Local Trinamool leader Nirmala Roy has accused the attackers of being grassroots activists.

Trinamool activists marched in ward 29 of the municipality on Monday night to protest against the anti-social activities of alcohol and cannabis. Local Trinamool leader Nirmala Roy led the procession. Allegedly, at that time a group of youths from the ward attacked their protest procession. Women also get involved in clashes with young men. The area virtually takes the appearance of a battlefield. Later the police came and brought the situation under control. Trinamool leader Nirmala Roy has blamed local Trinamool ward co-ordinator Shubhankar Sarkar for the attack. Allegedly, the Shubhankar government forces attacked their protest procession. On the other hand, the Subhankar government has denied this claim. His counter-allegation was that the women attacked the youths as soon as they found out the reason for the protest procession. Began to beat them.

Earlier in the day, a clash between Trinamool MP Mahua Maitra and local MLA Bimalendu Singh group in Karimpur came to light. Several people were injured in the clashes between the two groups. In that case, the PK team has been active in resolving the factional conflict. It is learned that PK team will talk with both the parties. The Trinamool is a little uneasy as factionalism has come to light in the North 24 Parganas without resolving that issue.
