Trinamool leader Arup Biswas held a meeting with the newly elected members of the sub-district council at Mainak Tourist Lodge in Siliguri on Thursday. Four Panchayat Samitis and 22 Gram Panchayats of Siliguri are now under Trinamool control. Later, the names of village heads and panchayat samiti heads will be announced. On this day, he said, Arun Ghosh is the chairman of Mahakuma Parishad. He contested from seat number 1 of the sub division council. Roma Reshmi Ekka has been made the co-president. He won from seat number 9. Captain Nalini Ranjan Roy has been made the team leader. People have blessed us. We will deliver services to people through development in the next five years.

In 2008, the new president Arun Ghosh joined the Trinamool. Besides, tribal leader Reshmi Ekka has won from Bidhannagar area of ​​Siliguri. Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee has given the responsibility of running the sub-divisional council to both of them. It may be mentioned that the Siliguri sub-divisional council vote was held on June 26. After the results were released, it was seen that the Trinamool had won 6 out of 9 seats in the sub-divisional council.
