Indian Army has signed MoU with 11 banks of the country regarding the salary package of Agniveers. The facilities and benefits of Agniveers Salary Package are at par with Defense Salary Package. The MoUs were signed by senior officers of all banks at an event chaired by Indian Army’s Adjutant General Lt Gen C Bansi Ponnappa on October 14.

Agniveers will also get soft loans
The banks with which the Indian Army has tied up are State Bank of India, Punjab National Bank, Bank of Baroda, IDBI Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, Yes Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, IDFC First Bank and Bandhan Bank. Are included. Banks have also offered soft loans to boost entrepreneurial skills of Agniveers. These banks will provide all banking services to Agniveers.

Such is the multiplication of the salary of Agniveers
The average age of the Indian Armed Forces will be reduced by about 4-5 years with the implementation of the Agniveer scheme implemented by the Central Government on June 14. An Agniveer will get Rs 33,000 in the second year, Rs 36,500 in the third year and Rs 40,000 in the fourth year. Whereas after four years, Rs 11.71 lakh will be available as a service fund package.

No income tax will be payable on the service fund. Agniveer will not be entitled to any gratuity and pensionary benefits. Agniveers will be given a non-contributory insurance cover of Rs 48 lakh for their time in the Indian Army.

A look at the Agniveer scheme
In this scheme, soldiers below the rank of officer will be recruited. That is, their rank will be as Personnel Below Officer Rank i.e. PBOR. The rank of these soldiers will be different from the commissioned officer and non-commissioned officer appointments in the army now. Recruitment will be done through rally twice a year. This year 46 thousand Agniveers are to be recruited.

To become Agniveer, it is necessary to be of 17.5 years to 21 years. Also it is necessary to have at least 10th pass. On the death of Agniveer soldier, he will get a cover of Rs 1 crore. Along with this, the salary of the remaining service will also be available.
