Apple may unveil highest number of devices ever in 2022: Report – Times of India

Apple is said to be readying the widest array of new hardware products in its history this fall. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Cupertino-based company is working on four new iPhones, a low-end MacBook Pro, an updated iMac, the new Mac Pro, a revamped MacBook Air, an AirPods Pro upgrade, three Apple Watches, a low-end iPad and iPad Pros.
While most of the products will be unveiled in the fall months i.e. around September, the new iMac is expected to come earlier. The company is also planning a Spring event in March or April this year, where it is rumoured to unveil the next generation iPhone SE model along with a new iPad Air with A15 chipset and a new Mac laptop.
Gurman says that Apple may plan a new Mac in the first half of this year. The new laptop may come powered by the M1 Pro chipset which could mean a higher-end Mac mini or iMac.
Four new iPhone 14 series models are said to include iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max and an iPhone 14 Max. The company may drop the mini model iPhone in favour of iPhone 14 Max.
Gurman speculates that the new iPad Pro model may be powered by M2 chipset. The device is rumored to offer wireless charging. Apple has reportedly submitted regulatory filings for nine new iPads and three new iPhone models.
Apple is also planning to bring its AR/VR headset this year. Some reports say that the device’s launch may have been pushed to 2023 as the device may need some issues to be worked out before the final launch.
Meanwhile, the upcoming iPhone SE 2022 model is tipped to be a 5G phone. It is said to come powered by the Apple A15 chipset. It may feature a design similar to that of iPhone X or iPhone 11 and is tipped to have a 4.7-inch display.
