We are hours away from the launch of the iPhone 15 lineup which Apple is set to officially unveil at its “Wonderlust” event today (September 12). Multiple leaks and rumours have suggested that the iPhone 15 Pro models will see a significant increase in prices, as compared to last year’s iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models are said to get a price hike with the latter likely to get the steepest price hike this year. The rumours mills are abuzz that the new iPhone series will get a significant upgrade from the previous iteration, such as Dynamic Island on the non-Pro models.
iPhone 15 Series Price In India (Expected)
Several rumours and leaks suggest that the vanilla iPhone 15 and the iPhone 15 Plus models may be launched at the same price as their predecessors from last year while some reports suggest that they will get a marginal price hike. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is said to be getting the steepest price hike, as compared to last year’s model, and also the biggest upgrade, with a periscope-style camera lens and titanium chassis.

A new report by Macrumors says that no price increase is expected for the non-pro iPhone 15 models. The vanilla Apple iPhone 15 model may be launched at a starting of $799, which is the same as last year’s iPhone 14. For buyers in India, the base model’s price was set at Rs 79,900 and it is likely to remain the same this year.
The iPhone 15 Pro models are said to include design upgrades such as thinner and curved bezels and a new titanium frame that will replace the stainless steel chassis. Apple is also expected to add a redesigned “mute” button that could actually serve as an Action button similar to the Action button on the Apple Watch Ultra, the MacRumors report added. The side toggle button that we have seen in previous iPhone iterations may be replaced by the Action button, as per famous iPhone case maker Spigen. Spigen posted a teaser photo on X, formerly Twitter, hours ahead of iPhone 15 series launch.

The Apple iPhone 15 Pro is said to see an increase of $100 and its price may start at $1099 in the US, which could mean a hike of at least Rs 10,000 in India. The steepest price increase may be reserved for the super-premium iPhone 15 Pro Max which is likely to land in the US for $1299.
