Party President Mallikarjun Kharge will announce the Chief Minister of Karnataka at the Congress Legislature Party meeting to be held in Bengaluru today. Siddaramaiah’s name is believed to be almost fixed. Earlier, both the CM contenders DK Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah met Kharge at his residence in Delhi. According to sources, Shivakumar can be made deputy CM.

The Varanasi court has approved the petition of the Hindu side, which demanded an archaeological survey in the Gyanvapi complex. The petition will be heard on May 22. At the same time, the Muslim side has been given time till May 19 to file objections. Earlier on May 13, the Allahabad High Court had ordered carbon dating and scientific survey of the alleged Shivling in Gyanvapi premises.

2. Monsoon will reach Kerala on June 5 after a delay of 4 days, forecast of normal rains this year
This year the monsoon will reach Kerala with a delay of 4 days. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon which usually arrives on June 1 can reach by June 5. Monsoon had hit Kerala two days earlier last year i.e. on May 29. The Meteorological Department has predicted normal rainfall this year. This will have a positive impact on food grain production, which means that there can be relief from inflation.

The IMD said that the rainfall is likely to be 96% of the Long Period Average (LPA). If the rainfall is between 90-95% of the LPA then it is said to be below normal. If the LPA is 96%-104% then it is called normal rainfall. If the LPA is between 104% and 110%, then it is called excess rainfall. More than 110% is called excess rainfall and less than 90% is called drought.

3. Lost mobile tracking portal launched, how many sims in a person’s name will be known

The central government has launched a portal named Sanchar Saathi to block and track lost mobiles. Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told that identity verification will be done after giving information about lost mobile on the portal. Immediately after that the portal will block the phone. It can also be checked on the portal that how many sims are running in your name.

Earlier, the pilot project of this system was going on in some telecom offices of Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka and North-East region, which has now been rolled out across India. This portal will be able to track-block the device even after changing the IMEI number. So far, more than 4.81 lakh lost or stolen mobiles have been blocked through the portal. More than 2.43 lakh mobiles have been tracked.

4. The demand for ASI survey of Gyanvapi was approved after 20 years, the first trial took place in 1991
The first case was filed in the Varanasi court in 1991 in the Kashi Vishwanath Gyanvapi case. In this, permission was sought for worship in the Gyanvapi campus. Against this petition, the mosque committee challenged the petition in the High Court. In 1993, the Allahabad High Court had ordered to maintain the status quo by imposing a stay. In 2019, the hearing in this case started again in the Varanasi court.

In the Gyanvapi case, Vishnu Shankar Jain, the advocate for the Hindu side, told that in the Varanasi court, we demanded that the ASI investigation of the entire complex be conducted. The western wall of the so-called mosque should also be investigated. The pinnacle of the Hindu temple under the dome of the so-called mosque should also be investigated. After hearing the petition, the district court has given them (the Muslim side) time till May 19 to file their objections.

UN’s Minority Affairs Representative Fernand D’Vernes had expressed concern about the minorities in the valley. In response, the Indian mission in the UN said that Fernand’s statement was highly irresponsible. They are trying to politicize the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.

G20 meetings are to be held in Srinagar on 24th and 25th of this month. This matter was first given attention from Pakistan side. As soon as it was announced to hold the G20 meeting in Kashmir, Pakistan raised this issue. Pakistan had said that Kashmir is a disputed area and no international summit can be held there until the issue is resolved.

Assam Police’s ultimatum-fit in 3 months or retire, police personnel will have BMI record

After policemen addicted to drinking alcohol, unfit policemen are now on the radar of the Assam government. Unfit personnel have been given an ultimatum of 3 months. Also, it has been said that if you are not fit in 3 months, then take retirement. Assam Police will keep an official record of obese policemen. For this, their body mass index (BMI) will be taken.

There are about 70 thousand policemen in Assam. DGP GP Singh has said that all police personnel including IPS-APS officers will be given time till August 15. After this, everyone’s BMI verification will be done in the next fifteen days. Policemen falling in the obese category (BMI30+) will be given 3 more months to lose weight.

If still the obesity is not reduced, then will be asked to take voluntary retirement (VRS). DG GP Singh said – Only those policemen who have real medical problems like hypothyroidism will be exempted. GP Singh will be the first person to take BMI on 16th August. Read full news…
