The BJP has suffered a major setback in the by-elections to the Adampur assembly seat of Hisar district of Haryana. Farmer leader Gurnam Chadhuni has announced his opposition to BJP-JJP joint candidate Bhavya Bishnoi from here. He said that the agreement reached between the central government and the United Kisan Morcha at the time of ending the farmers’ movement was not fully implemented.

After which this decision has been taken. Earlier, farmers have taught a lesson to BJP in Elnaabad also. Where BJP candidate Gobind Kanda lost from INLD’s Abhay Chautala.

Farmer leader Gurnam Chadhuni had also sought opinion from the farmers through social media. After which this decision has been given by releasing the video.

Gurnam Singh Chaduni, leader of the Bharatiya Kisan Union Chadhuni, after meeting with the farmers in Barwala, said that the BJP-JJP has to be opposed in the Adampur by-election. The demands of the farmers were not met in the agitation. The government did not live up to its promises. The brothers of Adampur can support this movement. So vote for anyone except BJP-JJP, who can defeat them. So teach them a lesson.

The United Kisan Morcha (SKM) Hisar also held a meeting at the Kisan Rest House in protest against stopping the compensation of farmers of Adampur and Balsamand. In which it was decided that from October 17, the strike will start again in Balsamand tehsil.

On October 20, there will be a Kisan Mahapanchayat in Adampur. In this the farmers of Hisar reached. If farmers do not get compensation by October 20, farmers will oppose BJP-JJP candidate in Adampur by-election.

Tikait supported Abhay in the Ellenabad by-election
Abhay Chautala resigned on 27 January 2021 in protest against the Central Government’s passing of three agricultural laws. In the by-election, the farmers opposed the BJP candidate Gobind Kanda. However, Rakesh Tikait, the leader of the Bharatiya Kisan Union Tikait, told the farmers’ forum in Ellenabad that the man who had left his bale with you, now bring him back after getting him checked.

His gesture was to vote for Abhay Chautala. While Chaduni appealed to the farmers to vote for any candidate except the BJP. Then in the by-election, the BJP candidate had to campaign under police protection due to opposition. In the election, Abhay Chautala defeated Gobind Kanda by a margin of 6708 votes.

The BJP has lost two consecutive by-elections in the last.  In which Gobind Kanda from Ellenabad and Yogeshwar Dutt from Baroda lost.  Now with the help of Bhavya Bishnoi, BJP is expected to break the losing streak.

After the farmers’ agitation, farmers’ organizations had fielded their candidates in the 2022 Punjab assembly elections. Peasant leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni had formed the Samyukt Sangharsh Party and instead of contesting the elections himself, got his supporters to contest the elections.

In alliance with the United Samaj Morcha of Punjab’s farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal, he contested the elections on 117 assembly seats in Punjab. But none of the candidates could win. Rajewal himself lost.
