New Delhi: He is a social media Influencer, model and musician, who is known for uploading challenge and prank videos on his YouTube channel- yes, you guessed it right- this is the story of budding musician Anirudh Sharma who started his journey as an influencer through Tiktok. Along with a huge base of around 1.5 million followers on Instagram, Anirudh also has two Youtube Channels, one with around 582K subscribers while in the other one, he mainly unloads his music videos.
In a conversation with ABP Live over email, Anirudh shared his journey of becoming an influencer, and a musician and also gave a peek into his personal life as well.
All About Music And Fashion:
Talking about his musical journey, Anirudh shared, “I always loved to sing, but never thought of becoming a musician. It came very late in my life and interestingly, it was during lockdown that I recognized my talent”
Anirudh uploads his songs on his YouTube channel ‘Anirudh Sharma Music’ and interestingly, all the songs have been written, composed and sung by himself. Some of the popular songs uploaded by him are ‘You Are Mine’ (2021), ‘Kaise Kahu’ (2021), ‘Closer’ (2022) and many more. He said, “My writings are always my feelings and my emotions are the greatest motivation.”
“My journey would not have been possible without my self-confidence and discipline. That is what I feel is the pioneer of the entire transformation in my life.”, he further added.
Apart from being a musician, Anirudh is also a model and endorses a number of fashion brands including ‘Rare Rabbit’ on his social media account and has also walked runways for a few fashion shows.
“Fashion is like a driving force to my content creation and yes, I started creating content because I loved fashion and wanted to experiment with myself a bit more”, said Anirudh.
Canada Days:
Anirudh was born in Una, Himachal Pradesh where he completed his schooling from Mount Carmel School. Later, he went to Canada to study marketing. Talking about his days in the foreign land, Anirudh said, “Canada made me learn a lot of things like self-discipline, self-dependency, and also made me independent. It taught me everything which I think helps me with my journey in Mumbai.”
Interestingly, he met his girlfriend Mrunal Panchal through social media when he was in Canada, while the latter was in India. After three months of chatting online, they met each other for the first time after three months and later, Anirudh decided to stay in India. The two have collaborated for a couple of reels and Mrunal has also featured in some of the music videos made by Anirudh.
Sharing their story, Anirudh said, “I met Mrunal Panchal in 2017, and we started talking since then, and have been continuing our endless talks till today. Working together doesn’t feel like anything new because the chemistry, coordination and understanding that we have between each other is so concrete now that it doesn’t matter. Whether it is in a music video or song, we are just ourselves.”
Tattoos, Hobbies, Music And More…
Apart from music and fashion, Anirudh is also fond of dancing and travelling. He also seems to be fond of tattoos for he has quite a number of them- from a butterfly and astronaut on his left arm, a winged man on his back to a ‘KARMA’ tattoo on the left side of his chest.
Speaking about the ‘astronaut’ tattoo, Anirudh shared, “The tattoo symbolises independence and freedom like astronauts in space- free to do whatever you want. My personality is also somewhat like that, so it matches with me as a person a lot.”
Anirudh also discussed his favourite genre of music telling that it is Punjab Pop and that he loves the fusion between pop and Punjabi songs. Additionally, Diljit Dosanjh happens to be his favourite musician. Along with him, Anirudh also loves listening to AP Dhillon and other Punjabi singers as well.
“My taste keeps on changing. Actually, I keep updating myself with the current playlist and the current market of music. So, there is no fixed set of songs that I like. I love to listen to many of them on a regular basis.”, said Anirudh when he was asked to name the top songs in his playlist.
In December 2020, he appeared in the music video ‘Knock Knock’.
