The fugitive Amritpal Singh was arrested late on Saturday night by the Punjab Police from Moga. According to sources, Amritpal was arrested from a gurdwara in Rode village of Moga. Now Amritpal will be taken to Dibrugarh Jail in Assam. A case has been registered against Amritpal under NSA.

Amritpal was absconding for the last 36 days. Amritpal attacked the Ajnala police station in Punjab on February 23 for the release of one of his supporters. Since this incident, the police is looking for him.

On April 20, Amritpal’s NRI wife Kirandeep Kaur was stopped by immigration officials at Amritsar airport. She was going to London. Kirandeep was interrogated for 3 hours at Sri Guru Ramdas Ji International Airport. After this Kirandeep was released.

Amritpal Singh was arrested in a joint operation by Punjab Police and Intelligence officers.
