Amid Pathaan’s Success, Shah Rukh Khan Tweets, ‘You Aren’t Meant To Plan Your Return’

New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan made his comeback to the silver screen after four years with ‘Pathaan’ and the film is doing wonders at the box office creating new records each passing day. The actor took to Twitter on Friday and penned an advice for his fans.

The Pathaan actor quoted a line from the 1997 film Gattaca and wrote, “Gattaca movie “I never saved anything for the swim back” I think life is a bit like that….You aren’t meant to plan your return…U r meant to move forward. Don’t come back…try to finish what u started. Just a 57yr olds’ advice things.”

Meanwhile, ‘Pathaan’ collected Rs 70.5 crore nett on second day. The film’s Hindi version amassed Rs 68 crore in net earnings, with its dubbed formats bringing in additional Rs 2.5 crore. With this the film’s total collection of two days in India is Rs 123 crore.

With its day two haul, the movie created another record — first Hindi film to breach the Rs 70 crore nett collection on a single day.

Not only this, the film has also collected Rs 219.60 crore gross worldwide.

“Pathaan” is the fourth film in producer Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe, following Salman Khan’s “Ek Tha Tiger” (2012) and “Tiger Zinda Hai” (2017), and “War”, featuring Hrithik Roshan (2019).

The movie follows the titular spy Pathaan (Shah Rukh) who comes out of exile to stop terrorist group Outfit X, led by Jim (John Abraham), from launching a debilitating attack on India.  “Pathaan”, which according to YRF has broken some 21 box office records, also has a guest appearance by Salman as fellow spy Tiger.

The film, also starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is directed by Siddharth Anand.
