AMBALA: Ambala district reported one death due to Covid-19 of a man (76) of Naraingarh, who was on bi-PAP support, said district civil surgeon Dr Kuldeep Singh on Saturday.
He said Ambala district reported 522 positive cases of Covid-19 and 153 patients were discharged on the day.
Among the 522 positive cases, Ambala City reported 249 cases, Ambala Cantonment 92, Chourmastpur 76, Shahzadpur 43, Naraingarh 23, Barara 21, and Mullana 18.
There are 3,415 active patients of Covid-19 in Ambala on Saturday.
Dr Singh said the health department vaccinated 3,744 people against Covid-19 on the day.
Dr Singh said the recovery rate of Ambala district is 88.53 per cent and the mortality rate is 1.51 per cent. The total number of Covid-19 cases reported in Ambala up to Saturday reached 34,269 of which, 30,337 were discharged and 517 people have died.
