Akshay Kumar Announces New Film ‘Sky Force’ On Gandhi Jayanti About India’s Deadliest Airstrike

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar has announced a new movie post the success of his last release ‘OMG 2-Oh My God!’ Taking to his official Instagram handle, Akshay Kumar announced the film’s name ‘Sky Force’ with a first look video announcing the film. Taking to his official Instagram account, Akshay Kumar wrote, “आज गांधी-शास्त्री जयंती के दिन सारा देश कह रहा है – जय जवान, जय किसान, जय विज्ञान, जय अनुसंधान. No better day than today to announce the incredible story of #SkyForce: Our untold story of India’s first and deadliest airstrike.Give it love, please. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat. 🇮🇳 Presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, Sky Force takes flight in cinemas on 2nd October, 2024. ✈️.”

 


Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh also wrote, “AKSHAY KUMAR – DINESH VIJAN – JIO STUDIOS COLLABORATE FOR ‘SKY FORCE’… 2 OCT 2024 RELEASE… The video unit looks DAMN INTERESTING… Akshay Kumar heads the cast of #SkyForce, a #JioStudios and #MaddockFilms presentation.#VeerPahariya will debut with a pivotal role… The makers have blocked [Wednesday] 2 Oct 2024 as the release date of the film.”

The nearly one-minute-long video tells “The untold true story of India’s first and deadliest air strike.” The clip also shows an old video of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri responding to a threat involving the 1965 war.

‘Sky Force’ has been directed by Sandeep Kewlani and Abhishek Kapur. ‘Sky Force’ stars Akshay Kumar and will also mark Veer Pahariya’s Bollywood debut. The film has been presented by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan

The film will be released in theatres on October 2, 2024.
