Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol left fans revisiting scenes from Ajnabee courtesy of their fun reunion at an event in Mumbai.
Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol had an impromptu ‘Ajnabee’ reunion at a recent awards show in Mumbai. A video has surfaced online showing the two stars on the red carpet. Coincidentally, Akshay and Bobby twinned in white. Bobby had won an award and was on his way out when Akshay walked in. The actors were surprised by the reunion and exchanged a hug before they posed for the cameras.
The heartwarming moment left fans gushing. Several social media users were reminded of their jodi from Ajnabee, which released in 2001. “Their outfit n meeting EVERYTHING IS PLANNED (with space) ” a fan said, bringing back one of the iconic dialogues from the film. “Oila oila oilaaa oila oila oilaaa oila dil tera ab hoila,” commented another. “Dynamic dua ” a fan wrote.
Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol have starred in a few films. These include Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo in 2004, Dosti: Friends Forever in 2005 and Housefull 2019. However, their film, Ajnabee, remains a fan favourite. Despite it being over two decades since the film released, fans often revisit dialogues and scenes from the film.
Meanwhile, on the work front currently, Akshay and Bobby are pareping for big releases. Akshay will be seen in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The film also stars Tiger Shroff, Alaya F and Manushi Chillar. The original Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was directed by David Dhawan. It starred Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in titular roles and was released in 1998. On the other hand, the new Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was announced in February 2023. Helmed by the celebrated director Ali Abbas Zafar and backed by Pooja Entertainment and AAZ Films, the film promises to be the biggest blockbuster of 2024.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada languages. The film is set to be released in theatres this year on Eid. On the other hand, Bobby Deol will be seen in Kanguva alongside Suriya and Disha Patani.
