During the Chandigarh-Leh flight of Air India, the pilot allowed an outsider (unauthorised) person to enter the cockpit. In this case, the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has suspended the pilot’s license for one year.

The license of the co-pilot of this flight has been suspended for a month, as he did not stop the unauthorized person and did not report the incident. The incident took place on June 3 with flight number AI-458.

Such incidents have happened earlier also in Air India aircraft. On February 27, during Air India’s Dubai-Delhi flight, a pilot allowed his girlfriend to enter the cockpit. Both stayed there for an hour. The pilot asked the crew to order pillows for him and serve him alcohol. When the crew refused to serve alcohol in the cockpit, the pilot became enraged and abused them.
