Ahan Shetty and Pooja Hegde are reported to commence shoot for Sanki later this year.

Since the initial announcement of ‘Sanki,’ there has been considerable excitement surrounding the unexpected pairing of Ahan Shetty and Pooja Hegde. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala is set to commence filming on 6th June, beginning with a special action sequence crafted by international designer Kecha Khamphakdee.

A source close to the project revealed, as quoted by Mid-Day, “The team is all set to kickstart a week long Mumbai schedule with a lot of action sequences designed by Kecha and then followed by a Goa schedule. The duo’s chemistry is anticipated to sizzle on screen, adding an extra layer of excitement to the project.” It is going to be a very different world of Sanki which the audience will experience with this film.”

‘Sanki’ is positioned as a high-energy thriller, offering viewers a thrilling mix of adrenaline-pumping action and compelling drama. With Sajid Nadiadwala steering the project, renowned for delivering blockbuster hits, expectations are soaring for this film to live up to its promise of entertainment excellence. The release date for ‘Sanki’ has been scheduled for Valentine’s Day, 14th February 2025.

Ahan Shetty made his debut in Sajid’s film ‘Tadap’ in 2021, alongside Tara Sutaria. Penned by Rajat Aroraa and helmed by debut directors Adnan A. Shaikh and Yasir Jah, the film garnered attention.

In addition to ‘Sanki,’ Sajid Nadiadwala has ‘Housefull 5’ in the works, making history as the first Indian film franchise with five installments. The ‘Housefull’ franchise commenced in 2010 with a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Rampal, and Boman Irani. The series continued with successful sequels, each featuring an ensemble of top actors.

Director Sajid Khan initiated the series, succeeded by director duo Sajid Samji and Farhad Samji for the third installment in 2016. Director Farhad Samji handled the fourth part, a comedy film with a reincarnation theme. The fifth installment will be directed by Tarun Mansukhani, with Sajid Nadiadwala serving as producer.

Additionally, Sajid Nadiadwala is set to introduce ‘Chandu Champion,’ directed by Kabir Khan, based on the inspiring true story of a resilient sportsman. Kartik Aaryan is set to portray the role of Chandu, marking his first collaboration with director Kabir Khan.
