Live-in partner strangled girlfriend to death in Maharashtra. Later hid his body inside the bed. The incident is of Nalasopara on Monday evening. After executing the incident, the accused was trying to run away by train by selling the furniture of the house, but he was arrested by the Railway Police. Police told that when the people living nearby smelled bad, they informed.
Both Hardik Shah and his girlfriend Megha Torvi are in a relationship for three years. He had shifted to a rented house in Sita Sadan building only a month back. Megha is a nurse by profession, but Hardik was unemployed. Megha had to bear his expenses. There used to be a lot of quarrels between the two regarding this. On Sunday too, there was a lot of fight between them on the same issue. Due to this, Hardik killed Megha in a fit of rage. According to information, the accused had messaged Megha’s sister and told that she had killed Megha.
Neighbors informed the police after the smell
Megha’s body had started to stink because it had been a day. When the people living around the house smelled from the room, they informed the police. Police reached the spot and inquired. People told that both of them had come to stay here only a month back. There was often a quarrel between them. After this, the police checked the CCTV and traced the location of the accused from the phone. In tracing it was found that he is at Mumbai railway station and from there he is going to Rajasthan.
Police contacted Crime Branch and Railway Police. After this, he was caught from Nagda railway station in Madhya Pradesh. After checking his phone, it was found that he had messaged Megha’s sister.
The accused had stolen 40 lakhs from the father’s account
Police told that Megha is a resident of Kerala and she used to work in a nursing agency. Hardik had spent Rs 40 lakh from his father’s account a few months back. Because of this he was thrown out of the house. Then both of them decided that they would live in a rented house.
