Police custody of accused Aftab in Shraddha murder case has been extended by 4 days. He was produced before the Saket court through video conferencing on Tuesday morning. According to media reports, Aftab confessed his crime in front of the judge for the first time in the court. He said – Whatever he did, he did in anger. I have told everything to the police. He said that he was finding it difficult to remember the incident. Aftab’s polygraph test may be done today.
If the officials are to be believed, the accused has revealed during interrogation that after killing Shraddha, he had thrown the saw and blade used to cut the dead body in Gurugram. Delhi Police has so far searched twice in the forested area of Gurugram to find the murder weapon. Now the police will again conduct a search operation in the forest. For this, a route has been prepared from Aftab’s mobile location.
The narco test of Aftab will be done at Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini. For this Delhi Police has prepared a list of 50 questions.

Police searching for pieces of Shraddha found human jaw
Earlier on Monday, Delhi Police found a human jaw while searching for pieces of Shraddha’s dead body. Dentist’s help is being taken to find out whether this jaw belongs to Shraddha or not. All the human organs recovered by the police so far have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for examination.
According to the agency, the dentist who is examining the jaw said – The police had brought me a photo of the jaw, which they found during the investigation. I told the police to ask the doctor who had done root-canal treatment of Shraddha in Mumbai, to ask for an X-ray of Shraddha’s jaw. It is difficult to say anything without X-rays.
The Delhi High Court has dismissed a petition seeking transfer of the investigation to the CBI. The Court says that we do not find a single good reason to consider this argument.
Police got permission for polygraph test of Aftab
Police has got permission for polygraph or lie detector test of accused Aftab. The Delhi Police had earlier told the court that Aftab was giving false information and misleading the investigation. In this test, the heartbeat, pulse, breathing process of the person is noted and questions are asked. On giving a false answer, the person’s heartbeat, pulse and breathing become irregular, due to which his answers are considered right and wrong.
Aftab-Shraddha reached Delhi on 8th May, killed on 18th
Aftab-Shraddha came from Mumbai to Delhi on 8 May. From here started staying in hotels of Paharganj and then in South Delhi. After South Delhi, he had taken a flat near Mehrauli forest. On May 18, 10 days after reaching Delhi, 28-year-old Aftab murdered Shraddha and cut her into 35 pieces, which he kept in a 300-litre fridge for about three weeks. After this everyday he used to go to throw these pieces in Mehrauli forest. Aftab had seen several crime movies and shows including the American crime show Dexter before the incident.
