Adani Group to build 80% of 594 km Meerut-Prayagraj Ganga e-way – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The Adani Group has bagged the contract to build India’s longest expressway project — the Rs 17,000-crore and 594-km-long Meerut-Prayagraj e-way — in Uttar Pradesh.
The group will build 464 km from Budaun to Prayagraj, that comprises 80% of this proposed expressway, in three groups — 151.7 km from Budaun to Hardoi, 155.7 km from Hardoi to Unnao and 157 km from Unnao to Prayagraj.
Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL) will construct three groups of access-controlled six-lane expressway, expandable to eight lanes.
AEL has received the Letter of Award (LoA) from UP Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) to implement these three major stretches in PPP mode on design, build, finance, operate and transfer (DBFOT or toll) basis with a concession period of 30 years.
The Ganga Expressway connecting Meerut with Prayagraj will be India’s longest expressway to be implemented on DBFOT basis.

AEL’s road portfolio has now grown to 13 projects with over 5,000 lane-km and an asset value of over Rs 35,000 crore in nine states including Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat, West Bengal, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh.
