Action on IAS couple walking dog in stadium: Husband Ladakh and wife Arunachal transfer; Distance of 3100 km in both the places

In the Thyagaraj Stadium in the capital Delhi, the IAS couple has been overwhelmed by sending the players home and walking the dog. The MHA transferred IAS Sanjeev Khirwar and his wife Rinku Dugga together late on Thursday night. Khirwar has been sent to Ladakh, while Dugga has been posted in Arunachal. The distance from Ladakh to Arunachal is about 3,100 km.

Sanjeev is a 1994 batch IAS officer, who was currently posted as Revenue Commissioner in Delhi. After the matter came to light, Delhi and the central government were getting a lot of grit, after which action was taken on the IAS couple late in the night.

Home Ministry summons report from Chief Secretary of Delhi
Taking cognizance of the matter, the Home Ministry had sought a report on the matter from the Chief Secretary of Delhi. The Chief Secretary submitted his report to the Ministry, after which the government has taken action against the IAS couple. Under Secretary to the Government of India Rakesh Kumar Singh has ordered the IAS couple to join the transferred states with immediate effect.

Sanjeev Khirwar has given clarification on the whole incident. He has said, ‘The talk of stopping practice because of me is baseless. I rarely go to the track with my dog. I go only when there are no players. Never asked any player to leave the stadium. I also leave the dog on the track only when no one is there. If it is objectionable then I will close it.

Delhi’s CM in action, said – the stadium will open till 10 o’clock
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has directed all government sports centers in the city to remain open till 10 pm. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia gave this information on Thursday. This instruction has come to the fore after the news of an IAS officer appeared in the media.
