The Bengaluru Municipal Corporation has identified 700 such encroachments which have been attributed to floods. These include Wipro, Prestige, Eco Space, Bagmane Tech Part, Columbia Asia Hospital and Divyashree Villa. According to the report of NDTV, the documents related to the campaign have come out with shocking facts. While the anti-encroachment drive is going on in full swing for the common man, no action has been taken against the big companies so far.

Action on residential building, owner said – only the officers gave permission
According to officials, the operation is also going on in some residential areas. The official figures are yet to come in how many places action has been taken and how many places are left. The boundary wall of a four-storey building in East Bangalore has been demolished. The building’s owner Dinesh Reddy objected to this. He said that all necessary clearances were taken even before the construction.

Reddy said that the drain was here for a long time. Knowing this, the authorities gave me permission for construction. I have not violated any rules. The officers came without any notice and demolished the boundary wall.
