Elections to the 88-member Himachal Pradesh Assembly are scheduled to hold before the end of this year as the tenure of the state Legislative Assembly ends on January 8, 2023.

The previous elections were held in November 2017. The counting of votes took place on December 18, 2017. After the election, the Bharatiya Janata Party formed the government in the state and Jairam Thakur was made the chief minister.
