Abdu Rozik Reacts To Reports Of FIR Against Him: ‘Some People Are Trying To Defame Me’

New Delhi: Tajikistan singer and ‘Bigg Boss 16’ contestant Abdu Rozik has reacted to the reports of an FIR being registered against him for “playing with a loaded gun” at the launch of his restaurant in Mumbai on May 11. Abdu has cleared that the reports are not true and people are trying to sabotage his name.

In a conversation with the Bombay Times, the singer said these allegations make him sad. “Some people are trying to defame me and sabotage my business. I love India and everyone here, but I don’t understand why some people are targeting me. The reports made me very sad.”

Talking about the incident and what happened, he told the Bombay Times, “At the launch, I asked a bodyguard whether the gun he carried was real or fake. He handed me the gun and said, ‘See for yourself’. I held it for hardly a few seconds and returned it immediately. However, some people clicked pictures of me holding the gun and started circulating them.”

The social media star said that no FIR was registered against him, and he feared that the reports would eventually lead to cancellation of his visa.

“No FIR or case has been registered against me. I fell sick due to stress. I feared that my visa would be cancelled, and I wouldn’t get to come to India again. So, I went to the police on my own accord. I wanted to inform them that I hadn’t done anything wrong. They were very supportive and understood the situation,” he told Bombay Times.

The social media sensation named his new restaurant in Mumbai ‘Burgirr’. He had earlier gone viral with his ‘Burgirr’ meme.

On the work front, the singer, who gained a huge fan following in India after his stint in ‘Bigg Boss 16’, will also unveil a new song soon, which he says will be a big surprise for those who follow him.

He will also be seen in the show ‘Long Son-Short Son’ alongside director Sajid Khan. The director recently shared a video on his social media where he revealed that he was launching this show with Abdu very soon.
