The ‘Confidence’ of Aam Aadmi Party’s MLA is very much discussed in the by-election to the Sangrur Lok Sabha seat in Punjab. AAP MLA from Attari Jaswinder Singh said that what Congress will do in the name of Moosewala himself who lost so badly?. Retired ADC Jaswinder Singh was asked that Congress is using Moosewala’s name. To which he replied.
He definitely said that I have no personal opposition to Moosewala. Nothing will happen to it. This remark of the AAP leader assumes significance as the youth are angry with the AAP government after the killing of Moosewala. Musewala was murdered the very next day after Mann Sarkar reduced his security.
Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in Mansa on 29 May. A day before his assassination, the AAP government of Punjab had reduced his security. However, when the murder took place, the two gunmen he met were also not together.
Moosewala lost the election from Mansa, Singla who won in jail
Sidhu Musewala had contested the assembly elections from Mansa on a Congress ticket. However, this time the wave of the Aam Aadmi Party was such that along with stalwarts like Captain Amarinder Singh, Navjot Sidhu and Parkash Singh Badal, Moosewala also lost. He was defeated by Dr. Vijay Singla of Aam Aadmi Party by 63,323 votes. Singla got 1,00,023 votes, while Moosewala got only 36,700 votes.
Congress used photo in election song
Sidhu Musewala has been close to Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh Raja Vading. He joined Congress only after asking Vading and contested the elections. After the murder of Musewala, Vading prepared an election song for the candidate of Sangrur seat, Dalveer Goldie. In which the picture of Musewala’s body and tomb was shown.

On one hand, the AAP MLA made a mockery of using Musewala’s name. On the other hand, AAP government’s Panchayati Raj Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal said that we will plant saplings in the memory of Moosewala. Musewala’s mother Sarpanch Charan Kaur made this appeal. The minister said that she is our elder sister. If she wants to see her son in the tree, then we will definitely fulfill her wish.
