In Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) CM face Bhagwant Mann is embroiled in controversies. During the door to door survey in Nakodar, Jalandhar, he removed the necklace he wore around his neck and put on the statue of Dr. Ambedkar. It has been described as an insult to Dr. BR Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution. The matter of the sacrilege of Dr. Ambedkar has now reached the National SC Commission. The commission has summoned the report of the entire matter. Although AAP supporters are calling it an edited video, but there has been no formal response from the party on this yet.

In this regard, Youth Congress National President Srinivas Biwi has tweeted a video. In which it is seen that Bhagwant Mann reached near the statue of Dr. Ambedkar while campaigning door to door. There a woman leader is standing there with a necklace. She wants to grab the necklace from Mann but Mann suddenly wears the necklace around his neck to the statue of Dr. Ambedkar. The Congress leader said that Bhagwant Mane has insulted Babasaheb. That too not after dusk but in daylight. He called it shameful.

Jalandhar leader filed complaint
After this video surfaced, Punjab Lok Congress General Secretary Jagdish Jasal sent a complaint to the SC Commission. He sent a complaint to the Election Commission saying that this is an insult to Dr. Ambedkar. Due to which there is anger in the Dalit society. Jassal said that the commission has asked him for videos and photos related to the case. He also raised questions on saluting the statue with the opposite hand of Bhagwant Mann. Jassal said he has submitted the video clips and photographs to the commission.
