Aamir Khan Hints At Andaz Apna Apna Sequel During Live Chat With Fans On His Birthday

New Delhi: Aamir Khan, known as Mr. Perfectionist by his fans, has consistently amazed fans and audiences with his impeccable script choices and exceptional performances. On his 59th birthday, the actor marked the occasion by engaging with fans via a live session on the social media platform of Aamir Khan Productions. 

During this interactive session, Aamir Khan made a significant announcement that has stirred excitement among his followers. The superstar hinted at the much-anticipated sequel to the iconic comedy ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ – titled ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2.’ 

Sharing the news, Aamir Khan shared, “Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi is currently working on the script for ‘Andaz Apna Apna 2’.” However, he cautioned that the project is still in its early stages.  

Nevertheless, this revelation from Aamir Khan has undoubtedly sparked enthusiasm among fans on his birthday. The prospect of witnessing their beloved characters Amar and Prem, portrayed by Aamir Khan and Salman Khan respectively, returning to the silver screen is a thrilling prospect for many. 

‘Andaz Apna Apna,’ released in 1994 and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, holds a revered status as a cult classic in the comedy genre. Audiences have cherished the camaraderie between Aamir Khan and Salman Khan’s characters in the film for decades.

Meanwhile, the actor celebrated his birthday by cutting a cake with the cast of his latest production ‘Laapataa Ladies’, his ex-wife Kiran Rao and the media. 

“Is dafa main apna birthday ‘Laapataa Ladies’ ki team ke saath celebrate kar raha hoon jaisa ki sab jaante hain humaari film is waqt theatre mein hai. Toh main chaah raha tha ki aaj ka din main in sabke saath celebrate karun(This time, I am celebrating my birthday with the ‘Laapataa Ladies’ team. As everyone knows our film is currently in theaters. So, I wanted to celebrate today with all of them).” 

The actor also joked with the media and said, “Aap log mere liye cake nahi laaye. Iske upar naam hi nahi likha hai kisika.” 

The actor is currently working on his new film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’.
