Aamir Khan And Kareena Kapoor’s Film ‘Laal Singh Chadha’ Gets A Silent Release On Netflix

New Delhi: Probably the most surprising piece of information is that ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, starring Aamir Khan, is now available to stream on Netflix. The streaming platform suddenly announced the movie’s release on its social media accounts. Just two months after its August theatrical premiere, Netflix is now streaming ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’.

Earlier, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ actor Aamir Khan revealed that the film would be made accessible on a streaming site just six months after its theatrical debut. Despite no prior notification regarding the film’s streaming availability, the film is now streaming on Netflix only 55 days after release.

Directed by Advait Chandan, the film is a remake of the blockbuster smash in Hollywood, ‘Forrest Gump’, which bombed at the box office, earning just Rs 130 crore worldwide against an alleged budget of Rs 180 crore. The film’s gross in India was under Rs 70 crore, making it a disappointment at the box office. Aamir’s comeback to the big screen came four years after the flop ‘Thugs of Hindostan’.

In the midst of the Boycott Bollywood trend, the movie was also involved in a great deal of controversy. The highly anticipated movie has been met with reviews that range from positive to bad, and there have been demands for a boycott on various social media platforms.

Talking about the cast of the film, Naga Chaitanya makes his Hindi film debut in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, while Mona Singh appears in a supporting role.

ABPLive review of the movie read: “’Laal Singh Chaddha’ makes up for an entertaining watch. It has all the right elements of a family drama along with some strong messages, that will evoke the spirit of persistence in the viewer, to seek what the heart desires.”
