Magha Shraddha is observed during the Pitru Paksha period while Magha Nakshatra is present during the Aparahna Kala. If Magha Nakshatra is partially present during the Aparahna Kala on two consecutive days, the day on which it prevails for a longer duration is considered the appropriate day for Magha Shraddha.

On the other hand, Parana, which signifies breaking the fast, is performed after sunrise on the day following Ekadashi fasting. It is essential to complete the Parana ritual within the Dwadashi Tithi unless the Dwadashi period concludes before sunrise.
