Married women partake in the rituals of Karwa Chauth, fasting for the well-being and longevity of their husbands. They pay homage to Lord Shiva and his divine family, which includes Lord Ganesha, and conclude their fast only after sighting the moon and performing the customary rituals. The observance of Karwa Chauth involves stringent fasting, refraining from consuming any food or water after sunrise until the moon appears at night.
