BMI chart is the most standardised method to determine the ideal body weight of a person in comparison to their height. It is a more accurate way to track your progress. The problem with this method is it does not take factors like muscles mass and fat distribution into consideration.
How to calculate your BMI:
BMI = Weight in kilograms/squares of your height in meters
Once you have calculated your BMI, compare your numbers here:
<19: underweight
19 to 24: normal
25 to 29: overweight
30 to 39: obese
40 or above: extreme (morbid) obesity
