80-year-old California Woman’s Secret Skincare Routine Deserves Your Attention – News18

The 80-year-old has been taking care of her skin since she was 20.

Yuri Lee, a beauty influencer, has recently shared her 80-year-old grandmother’s skincare routine on TikTok.

Wrinkles, sun spots and sagging skin are the natural indications of a person’s ageing process. However, an 80-year-old woman has garnered millions of eyes as she seems to skip all these natural skin indications.

A beauty influencer named Yuri Lee, based in California recently shared her 80-year-old grandmother’s skincare routine on TikTok, which amassed over eight million views. Talking to her 501,000 followers on TikTok, the 36-year-old Lee said, “This is my famous 80-year-old grandma’s skincare routine,” Daily Mail reported.

While talking to Business Insider, Yuri Lee mentioned that her grandmother has been taking care of her skin since she was at the age of 20. She has been consistent with her routine as well.

As per the shared viral video on TikTok, Yuri’s grandma uses the Japanese skincare brand Manavis. Beginning with its face mist, she then uses the Whitening Essence, which is a Vitamin C serum from the same brand. Yuri’s grandma then applies Manavis’ Restore Gel, which is a lightweight moisturiser that results in brightening. Next, she uses a wrinkle gel which is a moisturising cream that aims to work on the fine lines.

Finishing the skincare routine, the elderly woman uses the La Prairie Skin Caviar Concealer and Foundation with her hands, avoiding any sponge.

Yuri Lee also shared a video on Instagram while captioning it, “My grandma has the most beautiful skin I’ve ever seen!”

The post received thousands of likes and comments. Among several comments, one of the Instagram users wrote, “What her secret. What did she eat? I NEED to know.” Another added, “We need grandma’s skincare routine and diet!”

Meanwhile, a bunch of people on the post were seen saying that the genetics of Lee’s grandma have to be blamed for the glass-like skin. According to the Director of the Washington Institute of Dermatologists, Dr Tina Alastair,  there could only be two main reasons to have glowing skin. While the first one could be genetics, the second reason behind the glowing skin can be the cautious protection from the sun.

For the unversed, as much as 90 per cent of all the damage marks seen on our skin are usually caused by the sun, says the Skin Care Foundation.
