Heavy rains, landslides kill five in Assam One person has died in Meghalaya. In the last three days, 39 people have died in the two states. According to administration sources, 57 people have died in Assam and 32 in Meghalaya this monsoon season.

According to the East Khasi Hills District Disaster Management Office, nine people have been killed in the landslide. Five members of the same family have been killed in a landslide in East Khasi Hills on Friday. News of Harpa Ban and landslides is coming again and again from Gilabora and Kalaibari villages.

Meanwhile, various roads have been blocked due to landslides. Assistance has already been sought from the BSF. Meanwhile, various government agencies are emphasizing on improving the communication system.

Five people were killed and four were missing in Assam on Saturday. In the last five days, 20 people have died in Assam. About 30 districts of the state have been affected due to heavy rains and landslides. Six more rivers of Brahmaputra and Assam are in danger. Many low-lying areas of Guwahati have been submerged. At least 23,32,210 animals in the forest, including Kaziranga, have been affected by the floods. The Prime Minister has assured all possible assistance to the Chief Minister of Assam.
